Guardians of the Galaxy and Odori - August 13, 2014

Modern Music Sucks, Long Live the 1970s!

The soundtrack to Guardians of the Galaxy is projected to be named the number one album in the United States beating its competitor Now 51

This is a very interesting turn of events considering that the GOTG ost is essentially a 1970s mixtape, while Now51 is a collection of modern pop songs.

It appears that the great hits of the 1970s are making a comeback.

Its about time!

Happy Odori Everyone!

Odori is a four day dance festival that lasts from August 13th to August 16th.

This holiday is normally celebrated in Gujo where each night the festival is held at a different temple.

The dancing starts at night fall and doesn't stop until five in the morning!

Even if you don't live in Gujo, that doesn't mean you can't celebrate Odori.

Get together with a few friends for the next few days and throw a four night dance party.

Each night, have the party at a different friend's house.

If you live in the U.S. it would be really awesome if you celebrated Odori with the number one album in the country (see the above story for details).

Tell musical stories, dance until dawn, and have a great time everyone.

Happy Odori!
